 FibroMoms

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  (Matthew 11:28)

Welcome to the Fibromoms web site.
Parenting can be overwhelming, It can be frustrating, and very rewarding.  With Fibromyalgia and other invisible illnesses, it can be the most difficult task you'll ever face.  You do not have to face it alone.  I want to make Fibromoms a place where parents with invisible illnesses can get support, encouragement, and understanding.  I will be adding to this site and making changes frequently.  I welcome any input or, suggestions.  Send an E-mailto:Ark@myfibrosite.com

I'm not a doctor, nurse or anything else having to do with the medical field.  However I am one of millions people living with FMS and myofascial pain syndrome.  A great majority are women, and a large percentage of these women are moms.

I am a fibromom.  I am facing the challenge of raising two beautiful young children while coping with this often debilitating illness.  I know there are many of you out there, and I believe we can help raise each other up, encourage one another, and make some great friends.  You may feel isolated, alone, and you may not know where to turn.

I find that one of the hardest things about living with an invisible illness, is how difficult it is for people to understand what you are going through.  You look fine.  You don't seem to have anything wrong with you.  So why on earth are you complaining so much?  You may hear things like 'oh, everyone gets tired', or 'you should just take an aspirin, you'll feel much better'.  Maybe you've been told that you're lazy, or not trying hard enough, or get out and do something, you'll feel better.
I want you to know that this is a place where people understand exactly how you feel.  And there are other great sites out there too.  Please take a moment to sign my guest book. Thank you.
